Terms of service

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Career CoPilot (”we”, ”us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under your local law.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for any activity under your account. Turn on two-factor authentication (Settings → Security) if you want stronger protection. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

Career CoPilot is a career-planning workspace with AI features, job discovery, networking tools, a personal-site builder, and a coaching marketplace. We provide it on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. We may add, remove, or change features at any time.

No guaranteed outcomes. We do not promise you a job, a salary, a number of interviews, or any other career outcome. The service helps you prepare; outcomes are yours to earn.

The free tier is available without payment. The Pro tier is £9/month with a 3-day no-card free trial, and the Studio tier is £29/month. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice on this page and by email.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Your contract for payment is with Lemon Squeezy; their terms apply at checkout. You can cancel at any time via Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Coaching marketplace transactions are handled the same way: the coach quotes a total, you approve it, Lemon Squeezy collects payment. Refunds for coaching engagements are at the discretion of the coach and our review.

Career CoPilot uses Anthropic’s Claude models to power AI features (CV tailoring, interview prep, salary negotiation drafting, etc.). AI output is suggestive, not authoritative. Always review what AI produces before sending it to a recruiter or relying on it for a decision. We don’t accept liability for mistakes or omissions in AI-generated content.

Anthropic processes your prompts under their API terms and does not train on API data.

You retain ownership of every piece of content you put into Career CoPilot — your CV, your applications, your contacts, your personal site. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely to provide you the service. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

You’re responsible for the content you upload. Don’t upload anything that infringes someone else’s rights, breaks the law, or contains malicious code.

When you publish a personal site at career-copilot.co/sites/<handle>, anything you put there becomes public. We may take down personal sites that violate these terms, the law, or that we reasonably believe to be harmful.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to access parts of the service you are not authorised to.
• Use AI features to generate fraudulent or misleading applications, references, or qualifications.
• Upload content that violates third-party rights or applicable law.
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages via outreach or networking features.

You can delete your account at any time via Settings → My Data. That removes every row of your data, every storage object, and every video asset.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or other users. We will tell you why where we can.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ”AS IS”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CAREER OUTCOMES ARE NOT GUARANTEED. AI SUGGESTIONS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) £100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FRAUD.

We may update these terms. We will post material changes on this page and notify active accounts by email. Your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
